Why Did We Choose Stevia?

In order to remain all-natural, we only had 4 natural sweeteners to choose from: organic Stevia extract, organic Cane Sugar, Monk Fruit, and Allulose. Keeping in mind the importance of low calories and sugar intake, our options become even slimmer. Organic stevia leaf extract comes from the stevia plant, which originates in South America. The primary components extracted from the stevia leaf are called steviol glycosides. The extract taken from these plants are used in little organic cane sugar to promote great-tasting drinks without the extra calories.

In a joint statement, the American Heart Association (AHA) and the American Diabetes Association (ADA) stated that Stevia and similar sweeteners can be beneficial for people with diabetes if they use them appropriately and do not compensate by eating extra calories at later meals.

Is Stevia Considered All-Natural?

Great Question! The organic, stevia leaf extract found in our drinks are all natural. The natural sugars that come from the stevia plant are about 100-200 times sweeter than that of regular table sugar. Stevia powder and extract that are sourced originally offers no glycemic impact, is gluten free and is Non-GMO Project Verified.

Why Did We Blend Organic Stevia Extract and Organic Cane Sugar in Our Drink Mix?

The organic stevia leaf extract used in our drinks are all natural with no artificial ingredients or additives. However, we understand the controversies that stevia has, and want to be respectful of that as well as acknowledge the feedback we have received. To lessen the amount of organic stevia used in our products, we decided to add very little organic cane sugar to counter the taste and amount of organic stevia used. Due to the increased number of calories that can sugar has compared to stevia, we decided to blend the two ingredients together to ensure you are getting an all natural, great-tasting product without the added calories!
